The NFL will send another pair of teams to Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts “visit” the New England Patriots with the Colts sitting as a slight 1.5-point favorites according to Week 10 odds.

With the travel and the No. 31 scoring offense in football, should bettors continue to fade a New England offense that lacks pass-catchers and a competent quarterback?

The San Francisco 49ers have been cruising through the NFC in the Super Bowl odds, but now Kyle Shanahan’s team has to deal with the scrappy knee-biters from up north.

The NFL odds have the Detroit Lions as heavy 7.5-point underdogs in this one, and yet, that type of doubt is what’s fuelled Dan Campbell’s team all season. The question is whether or not the defense will be able to roar loud enough to slow down 49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey.

Florida hopes to get back to full strength when it hosts Merrimack Tuesday night in Gainesville before going into three consecutive neutral-site games. The Gators (4-3) have been without Micah Handlogten their past two outings after the 7-foot-1 transfer from Marshall suffered an ankle injury Nov. 22 in the first minute of Florida's 86-71 win over Pitt. Losses to Baylor (95-91) and at Wake Forest (82-71) have followed. Handlogten has averaged 8.0 points and 6.8 rebounds a game and has a huge defensive presence in the middle, blocking four shots in five games. Jürgen Klopp described Liverpool’s 98th‑minute winner against Newcastle as “the perfect response” to the time-wasting at Anfield after Fabio Carvalho’s late strike sparked a furious confrontation between the opposition benches.

Liverpool overturned Alexander Isak’s debut goal for Newcastle through Roberto Firmino and the substitute Carvalho, who scored in the third minute of time added on to five minutes of stoppage time. The additional time was added after treatment to the Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope and time-wasting by Joelinton, leaving Klopp to rejoice in the timing of a dramatic victory.

The Sporting head coach, Rúben Amorim, has admitted his future may lie elsewhere as Liverpool continue their search for Jürgen Klopp’s successor.

Liverpool have identified the 39-year-old as one of their candidates to take over at Anfield and could bring in the Portuguese for around £12m, if compensation can be agreed with Sporting.

Amorim has become one of Europe’s most sought-after coaches and has been linked with Chelsea and Barcelona after he ended a 19-year-wait for the title in his first full season with Sporting, who are again leading the way this season.
